IDC Keeps On Trunking For SES AMERICOM-NEW SKIES

IDC's SuperFlex product family International Datacasting Corporation (TSX:IDC) has been selected by SES AMERICOM-NEW SKIES to provide equipment to customers who will be upgrading to DVB-S2 platform offerings via the Company's IPsys IP trunking service.

The initial order from SES AMERICOM-NEW SKIES is for 200 of IDC's SuperFlex SFX 3102 DVB-S/S2 receivers. The value of the order was not released for competitive reasons. Over the last nine years, IPsys platforms have allowed service providers anywhere in the world to directly connect to the global Internet backbone via SES satellites and partner teleport facilities. This service bypasses terrestrial connections and their associated congestion points to provide high speed Internet directly to customers who may be located even in the most remote locations. The SFX3102 provides full satellite transponder bandwidth and optional Variable Coding Modulation (VCM) operation ideal for the cost effective and efficient transfer of large amounts of data over a global footprint or a large geographic region.
