ARINC Flying High With FAA Commendation

ARINC logo ARINC Incorporated has once again been commended by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for its “outstanding performance” in providing air-ground communications in the FAA’s Oceanic Flight Information Regions. The FAA commendation is dated October 30th and marks the eighth consecutive time ARINC has received an “excellent” service rating, the highest available. The FAA reviews ARINC’s performance every six months under the company’s 2005 contract for Aeronautical Mobile Communications Service (AMCS).

ARINC owns and operates radio communications centers in California and New York, serving aircraft over the oceans in U.S. controlled airspace. More than a hundred ARINC operators work at the facilities, handling more than two million voice and electronic messages per year between aircraft and FAA Air Traffic Controllers. As a result of the excellent evaluation rating, the FAA awarded the company a maximum performance based incentive award which will be shared with staff at the ARINC communications centers. In addition to obtaining customer satisfaction feedback from the site managers at its Air Route Traffic Control Centers (ARTCC’s), the FAA also conducted an internal review of ARINC’s performance. The result indicated ARINC consistently met or exceeded all contractual requirements while working with FAA to continue to improve service to the aircraft operators in oceanic airspace.
