SatBroadcasting: Intorel Tool Monitors IP-Based Net Traffic

Intorel Visionic page The newest addition to Intorel’s family of products is a universal measuring, testing, reporting and analysis tool, which can be used for carrier monitoring systems, using Visionic-controlled spectrum analyzers, for broadcast IP-based monitoring, and for DVB based monitoring systems. Using IP-based equipment, this application is able to monitor IP-based traffic on any network. In case of DVB-based monitoring system, our new product is used with DVB/DVB-S/DVB-S2 or DVB-T probes and automates monitoring of the DVB bouquets.

Visionic-based carrier monitoring system is probably the simplest application of new tool. Using any spectrum analyzer that is supported by Visionic, the system can be used to control the input switches (select correct input and band) and measure unlimited number of satellite channels. The DVB-S / DVB-S2 monitoring and analysis system is implemented using variety of DVB signal analyzers. These signal analyzers each by itself can tune into a specific DVB stream and analyze / measure data such as BER, symbol rate and so on. In such system, our newest product instructs the DVB instruments (there can be more than one) to tune into specific channel. In case of problems, the system reports warning and alarms in the real time based on the predefined thresholds. Finally, the DVB-T or IP-monitoring system can also be realized with the new product. The system can monitor all services within a DVB stream and report any imminent problems.
