Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: GCOM), a leading global provider of communications solutions and services, announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, ComSource has been awarded a one year Equipment Acquisition and Engineering Services contract from a telecommunications service provider (the customer) valued at up to $11.0 million. The Company has received funding in the amount of $8.6 million and the customer has an option to provide additional funding for the remaining amount throughout the contract term.

ComSource will provide acquisition services to acquire selected telecommunications hardware and engineering support to provide laboratory independent, verification and validation testing services.
