Sea Launch Responds to Customer Request for Hold on Operations


At the request of their Telespazio customer, Sea Launch has halted preparations for the launch of the SICRAL 1B communications satellite due to requirements for further spacecraft tests and verifications. Built by Thales Alenia Space, the dual-use Italsat 3000 spacecraft, with a mass of 3,038 kg (6,697 lb), is designed to provide communications services for Italian Defense, NATO and allied nations. The Company will announce a launch date for SICRAL 1B following the successful completion of spacecraft testing and resumption of our pre-launch operations.
