Going With Remote Access Is Harris For SatControl

Harris military homepage banner Harris Corporation (NYSE:HRS) announced that the OS/COMET COTS product for satellite control now includes NEO™, a Network Enabled Operations capability for platform-independent remote access.

OS/COMET is a commercial, off-the-shelf tool that provides superior telemetry, tracking, and commanding capabilities. NEO is a new service for OS/COMET developed primarily in answer to customer requests for web-based remote connection to OS/COMET operations. To enhance OS/COMET with NEO, the interface to the OS/COMET product was extended to allow Web Services access for near real-time telemetry, including tracking data and ground equipment. The NEO services include command transmission and request status, script execution and script status, access to archived telemetry data, command results, and script results, along with ground equipment control. Designed for government and commercial applications, OS/COMET is used to support both single-satellite missions as well as the largest and most complex satellite networks deployed today, including Iridium®, GPS, and fleets of spacecraft such as the 16 satellites operated by the U.S. Navy Space Operations Command (NAVSOC). OS/COMET also features a suite of "bolt-on" products that provide enhanced capabilities such as operations automation, ground equipment control, automated fault resolution, archiving/retrieval, and spacecraft simulation.
