Integral Systems, Inc., (Nasdaq:ISYS) announced at the CommunicAsia 2011 exhibition and conference in Singapore, that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Newpoint Technologies, has expanded its free driver program to include SNMP interfaces into satellite and transmission equipment. The new version of COMPASS™ SNMP Manager makes it even easier to manage SNMP equipment, virtually eliminating the development time required to interface SNMP equipment into a COMPASS Network Management System (NMS). Users will also be able to auto-discover SNMP-enabled devices on the network, quickly and easily import all or part of the Management Information Base (MIB) and automatically build out device-detailed screens for effective equipment management. Previously, Newpoint Technologies offered free driver development for serial and proprietary Ethernet equipment when purchasing a COMPASS software license or for customers under COMPASS Gold maintenance plans. With the new version of COMPASS SNMP Manager, customers will receive the SNMP interfaces at no charge.
