Brüel & Kjær + INPE... Taking The PULSE (Satellite)

[SatNews] Getting involved in the Brazilian satellite launch simulation and qualification testing process...

INPE, Brazil, has selected Brüel & Kjær to be the supplier of their replacement data acquisition and vibration test system for satellite launch simulation and qualification testing. Vibration, shock and acoustic fatigue testing is used to simulate the environment experienced during satellite launch. The state-of-the-art data acquisition and vibration test system is based on Brüel & Kjær’s LAN-XI Data Acquisition Hardware and PULSE™ analysis platform. The system will simultaneously record data from hundreds of high-frequency vibration channels, provide real-time analysis of all channels during vibration and acoustic tests, and provide shock response analysis of recorded data.

Brüel & Kjær Sound and Vibration Measurement A/S, with headquarters in Denmark, is a subsidiary of UK-based Spectris plc. Brüel & Kjær is a world leader in sound and vibration measurement solutions. The Company's successful LAN-XI Data Acquisition Hardware provides a flexible, network-based data acquisition and analysis platform capable of handling the multi-role functions necessary for complex vibration and shock testing. INPE – the National Institute for Space Research (Portuguese: Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais), is a research unit of the Brazilian Ministry of Science and Technology. INPE is the civilian research centre for aerospace activities. Its Integration and Tests Laboratory (LIT) includes highly specialized acoustic, vibration and shock test facilities for evaluating the vibration behaviour, fatigue strength and structural integrity of satellites, subsystems and components.
