Distribution of ASTRA2Connect Service Expanded

Newtec has announced the ASTRA2Connect network of distribution partners of SES ASTRA is further being expanded with new ISPs in the U.K. and Spain, and also has concluded an important deal with the Dutch Federation of Agriculture and Horticulture.

ASTRA2Connect was launched in early 2007 and is now available in 11 countries throughout Europe. The high performing broadband access service is based on Newtec’s broadband access terminal and hub equipment, Sat3Play®, whose customer premises equipment includes a modem, an interactive LNB, and a satellite dish and includes the patent pending Point&Play® pointing tool for easy self-installation by the end-user.

Eurosat will resell the ASTRA2Connect service under its brand name BeyonDSL in the United Kingdom and Northern Ireland. In Spain, the service is distributed through the Spanish cable operator TeleCable, and for the Netherlands, LTO Commerce, the sales division of the Dutch Federation of Agriculture and Horticulture, will provide its members with SES ASTRA’s satellite-based two-way broadband service ASTRA2Connect.
