Global Crossing Genesis Solutions... @ Satellite 2011 With...

[SatNews] Get "in the know" regarding the future use of satellite technology for broadcasters.

Mike Antonovich, Managing Director, Global Crossing Genesis Solutions, will be participating in a panel during the show's Wednesday afternoon schedule that will discuss the future of satellite and broadcasting — “Satellites and Broadcasting: A 30-Year Warning“ — March 16th from 4:45 – 5:45 p.m. in Room: 209A. Mike will discuss how satellites aren’t going away, but IP networks are spurring growth of “hybrid broadcast and media services models” … models that Global Crossing Genesis Solutions is perfectly positioned to address. He will also be sharing what he thinks the future holds for these services. The market for video services is growing. Industry research firm Infonetics Research forecasts that worldwide revenue for video services, including IPTV, cable video and satellite video services, will top $250 billion in 2014. And, according to the Visual Networking Index (VNI), an industry benchmark report produced by Cisco, 3D and HD Internet video will comprise 46 percent of consumer Internet video traffic by 2014.
