Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc., a leading National Security Solutions provider, has announced today that Robert Wright, Jr. (USAF Col., Ret.), Senior Vice President and General Manager, Military and Intelligence Group of Kratos' Integral Systems unit, will take part in a panel discussion at the Satellite Industry Group's 2011 Annual Army Commercial SATCOM Users' Workshop. Wright will address how SATCOM is supporting Situational Awareness mission requirements and SA technology capabilities available to meet Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN) requirements. The workshop will be held on August 22 from 10:30 to 11:45 a.m. in Room 18 or 19 at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, FL.

The Army Commercial SATCOM Users' Workshop aims to link the Army end-user community with the commercial satellite industry to provide critical SATCOM requirements for the Army Warfighter. DoD and industry leaders, such as Mr. Wright, will participate in interactive sessions focusing on space capacity and service requirements for Army SATCOM users, as well as exploring emerging technologies and applications to address shifting on-the-ground requirements and changing budgetary and bandwidth realities for the Army's SATCOM usage. The workshop precedes the annual LandWarNet Conference, which will also be held at the Tampa Convention Center August 23-25. Kratos will be demo'ing its industry-leading Situational Awareness and Enterprise Network Management solutions at booth 1605. In addition, Kratos' Integral Systems Group will demonstrate its family of ultra-compact and efficient Solid State Power Amplifiers (SSPAs) and Block UpConverters (BUCs), as well as its SATCOM deployable communications systems for use by Special Operations Forces, National Guard units and other ground forces.
