[SatNews] Within DEV Systemtechnik’s product line, "Optribution — Optical Transmission and Distribution of RF Signals”, optically transmits, receives, switches and distributes RF signals in SATCOM and CATV systems — the Company's model DEV 7113 offers a chassis with 20 optical module slots.
Equipped to the maximum of 20 new twin cards for two channels per card, the only 3RU high chassis is able to transmit up to 40 optical signals. The DEV 7113 can be completely controlled and monitored via a user-friendly web interface. Two 300 W power supplies deliver sufficient power to feed up to 40 LNBs. With model DEV 7143 DEV offers a low-cost version without integrated controller and redundant power supply. The DEV Top Performance Optical Link comprising the transmitter module DEV 7233 and the receiver module DEV 7333 represents a high-performance optical transmission channel with a noise figure of 10 dB or less, a dynamic range of 85 dB (‑70 to +15 dBm), an optical budget of 35 dB maximum, and a variable link gain of -10 to +35 dB in the Extended L-band. This enables the user to optically bridge up to 170 km without amplification. For medium and short distances as well as less demanding technical specifications, DEV offers an Advanced Solution Optical Link and a Basic Optical Link. All of the new modules occupy only four depth units, allowing for an extremely high system packing density.
