[SatNews] ...”Today I have a great satisfaction on belonging to this team”

The World Teleport Association (WTA) ranked Mexico-based Elara Comunicaciones, S.A. de C.V. as the second fastest growing teleport in 2012. Each year, the WTA identifies the Top Teleport Operators globally based on its revenue in the most recent fiscal years. Elara Comunicaciones also ranked 19th among the “Independent Top Twenty”, a ranking of Independent Operators which do not own or operate satellites that is based on revenue from all company sources. Elara Comunicaciones is the only Latin America-based teleport operator in the annual WTA report.

Elara offers satellite telecommunication services for mobile operators, as well as companies in the oil & gas, maritime, mining and other industries. The company has VSATs installed and operating with iDirect technology, in private and public companies, as well as in government organizations.

Elara’s teleport is located in Mexico City, with access to multiple satellites and operators, enabling it to provide services throughout Mexico, Latin America, Canada, and the United States.

“Elara has consolidated its position as Mexico's leading teleport, and this ranking gives us a very valuable platform for further growth. I appreciate the joint efforts with iDirect to achieve this position. Today I have a great satisfaction on belonging to this team”, said Jorge Villarreal, CEO of Elara.

Elara Comunicaciones was founded in 2004, licensed for rendering telecommunication services. It has been an international leader provider for teleport services in Mexico and Latin America. Elara’s network is capable of designing tailored solutions for each customer, providing high speed, two-way connectivity between two or more remote locations. The company has been certified on ISO 9000:2008 (ISO 20000:2011 expected 2013). Elara’s services and solutions focus on always being simple, flexible and agile.
