[SatNews] C-COM Satellite Systems Inc. (TSXV: CMI) has introduced the first of their new generation...
...Ka-band Flyaway Antennas. The new iNetVu® FLY-75V model is a 75cm Ka-band Flyaway Antenna which can be easily transported in two rugged, lightweight cases. The product offers fully automated satellite acquisition to commercial broadband Ka satellite service users in North America (Viasat Exede) and in Europe (Eutelsat Tooway KaSat).
The system can be transported, assembled and disassembled by one person, in less than 10 minutes, without any tools. The fully automated antenna, using the proprietary iNetVu® controller, can find satellite at the press of a button within minutes of deployment. The Fly-75V is aimed for a number of Ka market verticals including SNG, disaster recovery, emergency services, and any other high bandwidth applications, which require quick deployment in the field by people with minimal knowledge about antenna pointing. The new Flyaway platform is designed to be flexible, lightweight and scalable. It can be easily configured and adapted to a number of small size Ka antennas in order to serve emerging Ka services around the globe. The near zero backlash motorized pedestal drive and the high pointing accuracy set a new standard in the auto-deploy antenna industry.
