iDirect SatBroadband Svcs Reaching MENA + Asia Via NSS-6

NSS-6 satellite (SES NEW SKIES Lockheed) iDirect, a company of VT Systems Inc (VT Systems), has announced that IDMI, the international arm of Lebanon’s leading Internet Service Provider, IDM, has launched an iDirect-based satellite broadband service covering the Middle East, North Africa, and parts of Asia. IDMI’s iDirect-based service provides Ku-band connectivity via the SES New Skies NSS-6 satellite orbiting over the EMEA region and an iDirect hub co-located at the Cyta-Makarios teleport in Cyprus.

IDMI will initially roll out services in Afghanistan, Iraq, and East and South Asia, with plans to expand the network in Africa with additional hubs later this year. The new offering brings high-speed connectivity to corporate enterprises, financial institutions and government organizations as they continue to rely on satellite communications to advance vital telecommunications infrastructure.
