Moving On Up . . .Dr. Guggenbach at RUAG Aerospace


RUAG Armored vehicle w bridge Dr. Peter Guggenbach has been appointed as the new CEO of RUAG Aerospace. The board of directors determined the 46-year-old, with a Swiss engineering degree from ETH Zurich, will assume his new position on April 1, 2009, and will also become a member of RUAG's Executive Board. He will be taking over the function from Toni J. Wicki, who alongside his key role as Chief Executive Officer of RUAG, has also been temporarily responsible for this function since August. After completing training as a telecommunications and electronic equipment installer, Dr. Guggenbach went on to train as a helicopter pilot for the Swiss Air Forces. Having attended Zurich University of Applied Sciences and studied at ETH Zurich, Dr. Guggenbach worked for five years as a research associate before completing his dissertation.
