Comtech Mobile Datacom... Transciever Tie-In

[SatNews] Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced its Maryland-based subsidiary, Comtech Mobile Datacom Corporation, received orders totaling $6.1 million under its IDIQ contract with the U.S. Army Communications Electronics Command (CECOM). Total orders received to date against this $384.0 million contract increased to $240.5 million.

Under these orders, which support the Force XXI Battle Command Brigade and Below - Blue Force Tracking (FBCB2-BFT) program, a U.S. Army battle command real-time situational awareness and control system, Comtech will provide its AVX-06(203) aviation transceiver, MT-2011 ground mobile transceivers, satellite network bandwidth, engineering technical support, and equipment leases. Most notable amongst the orders is the satellite network bandwidth to support the FBCB2-BFT program's transition to the new BFT software version 6.5 which, when fully deployed, will enable current BFT users to operate at higher data rates. These orders support an incremental six months of satellite network bandwidth.
