...to the Internet relatively easy, but with average uptimes under 80 percent, staying connected is difficult. To combat network outages, Talia developed the first fully autonomous hybrid network in Iraq. Through this advanced terrestrial infrastructure, Talia are the only network operator able to guarantee connectivity, and preserve data and voice connections. Talia offer three different bespoke SLAs depending on customer demand:
- Always On, Always Available. A fully-redundant 99.9 percent SLA service, designed for telcos, mobile operators, oil and gas companies, security forces, and governmental ministries, all who have critical missions and essential applications which demand reliable and secure network resources
- Always Connected. A resilient service which offers lifeline communications in the case of primary connection failure. Through advanced QOS control, mission-critical services always take precedence over best-effort browsing and file-sharing applications
- Value Connect. For budget-minded customers, Talia also offer a basic connection without SLA, competing with local services on price and exceeding their performance metrics
To provide reliable terrestrial connectivity, Talia brings multiple international access lines and satellite connections into a fully-automated network interconnect. Talia connects into the Iraqi Telecommunications and Post Company (ITPC) backbone. The ITPC backbone provides highly-available local connectivity. Talia circuits cross-connect internal networks, and are the only solution for redundant and reliable trans-border communications. With a complete terrestrial portfolio, including leased lines, MPLS, broadcasting backhaul to playout facilities, in-country local loop, intranet, and Internet connections, Talia design and implement best-fit solutions based on customer requirements.
Talia's Baghdad DataHouse is the first enterprise-grade commercial data centre in the country, and is fully compliant to international standards. A peer of our European DataHouse in Germany, the Baghdad facility is made for in-country cloud operations. Talia DataHouses are fully redundant on power, environmental controls, monitoring and alarming, data heuristics, and feature complete 24/7 security. With a mesh-based command and control infrastructure, Talia DataHouses are centrally managed by network operations engineers. Talia will extend operations with Basrah and Erbil DataHouse facilities in Q2 2012.
