Joshi, 59, retired in 2012 after a 32-year career at Hewlett-Packard Company, where he most recently was the executive vice president of the company’s Imaging and Printing Group, responsible for all worldwide printing, scanning and digital camera platforms for the company. He joined HP in 1980 as a research and development engineer and went on to hold management positions of increasing responsibility within the company until his retirement.

Joshi is a director of Wipro Limited and served as a member of the Board of Directors at Yahoo! Inc. from 2005 to 2012. He is a member of the Dean's Advisory Council at The Rady School of Management at the University of California, San Diego. He holds a master's degree in Electrical Engineering from The Ohio State University.
