Space Foundation Conference... Cyber Domain—Speaker's Expertise Offers New Angles (Event)

Maj. Gen. Suzanne Vautrinot, USAF, commander, 24th Air Force, and commander, Air Force Network Operations, will discuss the strategic implications that relate to the cyber domain at the Space Foundation national conference Cyber 1.3, to be held Monday, April 8, at The Broadmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Like the 2012 and 2011 Space Foundation cyber conferences, Cyber 1.3 will reveal senior leadership views on Department of Defense and industry cyber activities, with emphasis on hot button issues, human capital development, international dimensions and the evolving challenges posed by cyberspace.

Cyber 1.3 is a full-day conference that takes place immediately before the official opening of the 29th National Space Symposium. The conference includes a networking breakfast, a luncheon and concludes with a networking reception. Cyber 1.3 is co-sponsored by General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems.

Cyber 1.3 features compelling speakers from industry and government, and will include such panel discussions as:

  • Hackivists, Anarchists, and Mobsters: Their Impact on Cyber and You

Maj. Gen. Suzanne Vautrinot, USAF

Maj. Gen. Suzanne Vautrinot, USAF is based at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, Vautrinot is responsible for the Air Force's component numbered air force providing combatant commanders with trained and ready cyber forces to plan and conduct cyberspace operations. Previously, she was special assistant, vice chief of staff of the Air Force; director of plans and policy, U.S. Cyber Command, Fort George G. Meade, Maryland; deputy commander, Joint Functional Component Command - Network Warfare, U.S. Strategic Command, Fort George G. Meade. Vautrinot earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy, Colorado Springs, and a Master of Science degree from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles.
