[SatNews] Cinegy will be offering attendees at the upcoming NAB 2013 a view of their products at booth # SL11112.
First of all, the Cinegy Player is a new standalone tool for viewing popular broadcast files in a professional interface, using the same industry leading technology that underpins all other Cinegy products. Cinegy will distribute complimentary licenses (worth $129 each) to the first 1,000 stand visitors to Cinegy booth SL 11112 directly after the product launch. For further information, access this link.
A demo of Cinegy’s IP-Based Workflow solution without SDI will also be offered at their booth. Replacing legacy SDI-based infrastructures with IP-based Ethernet infrastructure has become an increasingly popular choice among broadcasters seeking to improve workflow efficiency and cut costs. IP infrastructures permit video data to be transported over Ethernet networks, rather than via SDI switches and cables, and offer numerous advantages to broadcasters. IP infrastructures are more scalable and far less costly to build and maintain. They also provide greater signal capacity and enhanced flexibility, allowing broadcast operations to grow more quickly and run more smoothly with fewer problems.
There will also be a presentation by Jan Weigner, Managing Director and Co-owner of Cinegy at the NAB Show 2013 Broadcast Engineering Conference. This will occur on Wednesday, April 10th, at 11:30 a.m. Jan will present a paper on Improving Workflow Efficiencies with Remote Monitoring of Broadcast Operations. Broadcasters today are looking for solutions to improve their workflow efficiencies; enabling their facilities to break away from proprietary or hardware-based systems which have become inefficient, outdated and expensive. For Broadcasters, an IP based Ethernet infrastructure is becoming an increasingly popular replacement to the traditional SDI-based infrastructure. IP infrastructures permit video data to be transported over Ethernet networks rather than via SDI switches and cables, and offer numerous advantages to broadcasters. IP infrastructures are scalable, provide greater signal capacity, are more flexible and far less costly to build and maintain—but broadcasters need to be careful not to sacrifice any functionality they require in the change. This paper highlights in detail how new, innovative and cost effective technologies used by world leading broadcasters including PBS remotely manage, monitor and adjust streams from satellites, camera feeds, playout devices and other sources with an IP based infrastructure.
Other Cinegy events include the Cinery Theater at their booth as well as Cinegy workshops for production, sports, gaming and news. These workshops will be case study-driven, highlighting some of Cinegy’s key customers including: BBC Northern Ireland, PBS, Sports Editing Sweden, The Swedish Lottery, The London Studios (ITV), Dogan TV and many others.
