[SatNews] New products and acquisitions make for interesting presentations at IBC 2011.

VISLINK presents their new ADVENT LYNX IRD5200 at stand 1.A61 at IBC 2011. In addition, Gigawave Ltd., their newest company acquisition, is at Outside Exhibition Area OE115 launching the H.264 Wireless Camera Transmitter.

While the ADVENT LYNX IRD5200 is the highest-performing, feature-rich SD/HD contribution IRD available for lightweight SNG flyaway or terrestrial ENG receive applications it reduces the operating costs of businesses.

ADVENT LYNX 5200
More specifically, utilizing core VISLINK technologies, the ADVENT LYNX IRD5200 combines leading edge high-order DVB-S2 demodulation with highly configurable FPGA circuitry, that provides an abundance of user-selectable features in one streamlined 19" x 1RU half-rack unit. This revolutionary concept for SNG/ENG and OB receive operations reduces the complexities and operating costs of today's economically challenged businesses.

The new IRD is adaptable to suit any application and is fully upgradeable with options that include MPEG-2 SD/HD 4:2:0/4:2:2 and H.264 4:2:0 SD/HD up to 4:2:2 10-bit HD, Low Delay or an ASI-over-IP input.

A versatile browser-based GUI provides complete remote control using standard browsers with the option of SNMP control for remote access via customers' control systems.

The ADVENT LYNX IRD5200 is another addition to the LYNX series aimed at high-quality or contribution links where live video or content needs to be routed back to base via satellite, microwave or IP connectivity.
