CPI Brings Out The Band + More @ Milcom (New Product + Event)

[SatNews] Moving forward and never looking back this Company’s acquisition in June and competitive products are sure to draw attention at Milcom.

500 W X-band TWT ODU

CPI’s SuperLinear TWTAs cost less to operate and are just as reliable as high power SSPAs. CPI recently compared the specifications of their 500 W X-band TWT ODU to a solid state BUC resulting in the following finds:

  • To achieve the same amount of output linear power, the X-Band TWTA consumes less than 1/3 the prime power
  • Heat dissipation is less than a quarter of the SSPA
  • The TWTA is less than 1/3 the weight of the SSPA
  • The TWTA is less than 1/3 the size of the SSPA
The TWTA is also rugged and reliable, built for the harshest environments, with MTBF to rival any SSPA. Visit for more details.

See our 40 W Ka-band BUC on display at Milcom. This product is small, lightweight, field proven, and built for the harshest environments. It is perfect for satcom-on-the-move, micro-flyaway systems, VSATs and antenna-mount applications. A dual LO version is now available, enabling RF bandwidths over 1 GHz.

In June, CPI acquired MCL. Under their agreement, CPI will continue to provide service and is maintaining the Illinois facility as a service center for MCL amplifiers, and is also providing service through MCL's former network of international service centers. CPI is also supporting former MCL customers with new amplifiers and systems. I
