GE - Satellite + GE - Satcom — New Identifies For GE-Branded Companies En Route

Ronny Svang, the President and CEO of the new GE - Satlynx has made all official — the new name of the company will be GE - Satcom. This is the final step for the company as they become a fully integrated GE business brand identity. "Such is a natural progression for us as being part of GE," said Ronny. "The name is reflective of our essential business strengths, which are innovation and leadership."

Then we have SAT-GE, which will soon become GE - Satellite. Along with the name change, the company will have a dynamic new corporate identity and website to match, bringing its branding into alignment with GE's guidelines for wholly owned companies.

"We are excited about the evolution of our brand," says Andrew Jordan, President and CEO of GE - Satellite. "It brings our company identity more in line with the overarching GE corporate look and feel, which is all about leadership and innovation. These are very much pillars that define our brand as well, so the transition makes perfect sense."

The US based operator offers satellite communications across the Pacific region, delivering versatile, high bandwidth payload capability for a wide array of communications needs. Mr. Jordan is quick to point out that the change will not affect operations in any way. "It is important to note that this will be a seamless process that will not impact the service we offer. Our clients can expect the exact same great customer service they’ve become accustomed to."

The new website, www.gesatellite.com, will go live on March 10, 2010, while the new GE - Satellite brand will make its industry tradeshow debut at SATELLITE 2010 from March 15th to 18th at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in National Harbour, Maryland.
