Thuraya has signed a commercial agreement with the Company's long-standing service providers Connect Telecom and has appointed them as a distributor to international vertical markets. Connect Telecom aims to promote ThurayaIP to target segments such as NGOs, corporations, government, construction, the marine sector as well as the media and news gathering agencies. ThurayaIP is an advanced broadband solution that has a compact A-5 size and transmission speed of 444 Kbps and speeds of 384 Kbps.
