ManSat has appointed Anthony Hewitt as a director of the company. Mr. Hewitt brings a wealth of experience to ManSat’s key role of obtaining the frequencies used and orbital positions occupied by commercial communications satellites.

He was previously Director of the Isle of Man Government Communications Commission, the Statutory Board of Tynwald responsible for regulating the Island’s telecoms and broadcasting industries, a position he held between 2001 and 2008. Prior to that, Anthony was responsible for cable and satellite services at the Independent Television Commission and at the Cable Authority in the UK. “In the current economic climate it is essential the Isle of Man continues to build on the tremendous progress made over the past years in developing the Island’s growing Space Sector. With his knowledge, background and experience Anthony will add a further dimension to the ManSat team”, said ManSat Chairman and CEO, Chris Stott.
