CET's Half The Cost Same Coverage With New DTH Platform On EUROBIRD

CET Teleort CET Teleport has taken a transponder on the EUROBIRD 9A satellite providing an opportunity to access virtually the same DTH geographic coverage as with HOT BIRD™ but at about half the cost. CET services include:
  • State-of-the-art broadcast transmission services for HD and SD
  • C-band, Ku-band, Ka-band and K-band uplinking and downlinking
  • Turnaround, Playout and distribution services
  • Access to BT’s Global Media Network (GMN) via BT Tower allowing transmission of video enabled MPLS data & voice services. The STM fiber between their hub and the Tower is bi-directional and fully redundant
  • MPLS IVNP protocol is used with ASI interfacing to offer resilient and adaptable transmission facilities
Eutelsat Dual bird 9A EUROBIRD 9A is located at 9 degrees East. This location is adjacent to the premium HOT BIRD position at 13 degrees East giving almost the same coverage over Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.

A new antenna is not needed for viewers already receiving HOT BIRD. They can simply install ClipSat™ on their existing antenna so they can have access to stations on both satellites.
