The new encoders complement Telairity’s current Series 8000 line of HD H.264/AVC encoders as well as its Series 7000 line of SD H.264/AVC encoders. All three lines will be on view during NAB 2009 at the Telairity booth in Booth SU10202. Massive computing power is at the center of the Series 9000 video compression: Four Telairity 50 Gigaops TVP2000 video processors per SD channel. Series 9000 systems also include new features to support IPTV usage (video distributed over Internet Protocol networks), where low bit rates are of particular interest. I/O options include both composite and component inputs with IP-only output. In addition to an MPEG-2 transport stream, Series 9000 users may select a native RTP/UDP stream. Forward error correction (FEC) is also available in these systems. New utility programs allow conversion of the output transport stream to popular program formats like .MOV for file capture and video editing. Series 9000 systems continue to offer all the features customers have come to expect from Telairity encoders: “instant on,” simplified operation, high reliability, and software upgradeability, backed by Telairity’s exceptional warranty and support policies. Three Series 9000 models are available immediately: the BE9100, the BE9200, and the BE9400, featuring one, two, and four channels, respectively. All three models are 1U rack-mount systems.
