The Dutch defence ministry has not released details of the equipment to be supplied. Speculation is the UAVs could include the Aeronautics Aerostar or Aerolight products. As Israeli personnel are not authorized to operate inside Afghanistan, system operators are expected to be provided by subcontractors from the U.K. and USA. The estimated costs for the interim deal, which is expected to be signed by the close of January, range between 25 million euros and 50 million euros. Services will run until 2010.
