ARINC Engineering Services, LLC has been awarded an Advisory and Assistance Services (A&AS) contract to support the Human Space Flight activities of USSTRATCOM located at Offutt AFB, Nebraska. The contract carries a 1-year base period and three one-year options, covering a time period between the end of NASA’s Space Shuttle Program in FY 2010 and the start of manned missions in the Constellation Program, NASA’s follow-on, in FY 2014. NASA is already studying contingency options for the rescue of Constellation astronauts and the recovery of Constellation space vehicles. The USSTRATCOM Human Space Flight Support Office (HSFS) has the responsibility for contingency planning.
