[SatNews] Helen Stalker, Inmarsat GSPS Commercial Director, received the first IsatPhone Pro ‘post launch’ call live on stage at last week's CommunicAsia. Gregory Darling, Managing Director of AST called Helen using the new IsatPhone Pro handset, from his farm in Norfolk to congratulate her on the launch of this new and exciting product.

Having been involved in the satellite business for many years, Gregory commented, ‘I have seen all the handheld devices as they have come along and this new Inmarsat phone fits well into the existing market. It is very good for the user given its price and capability.’ Selected as a launch distribution partner for the new handset, AST has seen early demand for the IsatPhone Pro, which is extremely encouraging.

Talking after her presentation, Helen Stalker said, ‘I was delighted to receive our first call from Gregory and to hear his views on our launch. We look forward to working closely with AST as we take this new service to our customers.’
