RigNet, Inc., a provider of managed communications solutions for the upstream oil and gas industry, has been named this year to the Houston Business Journal’s Fast Tech 50 list of leading high-tech businesses. RigNet is ranked No. 15 on the list, which is based on revenue growth in 2007 over 2006. RigNet recorded revenue growth of 130.7 percent in 2007. All of the ranked Fast Tech 50 companies are headquartered within the 10-county Houston metropolitan area, including Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Harris, Liberty, Montgomery, Waller, Austin, and San Jacinto. To be considered, companies must show that 2006 and 2007 net revenue exceeded $200,000, and at least 51 percent of the consolidated revenue must involve the original manufacture, design or development of technology products or services.
