MEASAT Satellite Systems Sdn Bhd (“MEASAT”) has announced Telekom Malaysia Berhad (“TM”) has renewed a contract for the leasing of transponder capacity on the MEASAT-3 satellite. TM, an integrated information and communications group, offers communication services and solutions in broadband, data and fixed-line. MEASAT has been supporting TM’s satellite requirements since 2001. Under this agreement, TM will continue leasing transponder capacity on MEASAT-3, for an additional three years. MEASAT-3 will be joined with the soon to be launched MEASAT-3a at the 91.5 degrees East orbital location, providing redundant C- and Ku-Band satellite capacity to the Asia Pacific region.
