Integral Systems | RT Logic... Its Fairbanks To Say A Wallop Of An Installation...

Integral Systems, Inc., (Nasdaq:ISYS) has announced that RT Logic, a wholly owned subsidiary, has completed delivery, integration, and testing of 42 Telemetrix 400XR (T400XR) Radio Frequency (RF) Modulator/Receiver systems for the Multi-Mission L&S Band Receiver (ML & SBR) project for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). The contract called for the upgrade and modernization of satellite ground systems at NOAA's Command and Data Acquisition (CDA) stations located in Wallops Island, VA and at Fairbanks, AK, which operate as part of a worldwide weather data gathering network.

Under the ML & SBR effort, RT Logic replaced a number of older, unsupportable receivers in the stations providing expandable capabilities for future mission support while reducing the overall number of installed hardware systems and associated power requirements. The newly integrated T400XR Receivers support downlink signal processing from the POES (Polar Operational Environmental Satellite), DMSP (Defense Meteorological Satellites Program), Jason-2, and METOP satellites. The T400XR is an adaptable firmware-defined modulator, demodulator, and digital processing unit. In addition, the receivers' flexible design allows for the implementation of new waveforms and networking protocols via software upgrades and through modular hardware, it can support future data acquisition projects in both high and low data rate applications as well as the ability to add transmit/broadcast capabilities. RT Logic received the ML & SBR order in June 2008 with first delivery of the T400XR units occurring in August 2009 at Wallops Island, VA and final installation and testing in February 2010.
