
[SatNews] Registration is now open for the Singapore Conference on On-Orbit Satellite Servicing (OOS) and Active Debris Removal co-organized by...
the Secure World Foundation (SWF) and Singapore Space and Technology Association (SSTA). The conference will be held the day before the Global Space and Technology Convention and focus on Asia-Pacific perspectives on ADR and OOS.
Secure World Foundation's Conference on "On-Orbit Satellite Servicing and Active Debris Removal: Opportunities and Challenges for the Space Sector" will be held on Wednesday, February 20, 2013, at the Sheraton Towers Singapore.

Attendees will learn about existing plans for OOS and ADR systems, such as DARPA's Phoenix Project to reuse parts from dead satellites, Vivisat's Mission Extension Vehicle to extend the life of existing satellites, and the Swiss Space Center's Clean-mE project to remove retired satellites from orbit. Attendees will also listen to experts discuss the various diplomatic, legal, safety, operational, and policy challenges that such projects raise and potential solutions.
