GVF Creates New Certification-Path Courses For VSAT'ers

GVF training homepage GVF has announced the new online VSAT installation fundamentals training courses are now available.  The Company has taken the best of our Level 1 and 2 courses, along with extensive newly-created material, to build three new certification-path courses.

GVF 510 Core Skills for VSAT Installers uses new 3D interactive technology to teach the critical skills necessary for installing a VSAT terminal and preventing interference.  Accurate dish pointing skills are taught with a highly detailed, interactive 3-D simulator, and the student must pass rigorous, realistic simulation exercises in order to pass the course.  This course, together with the GVF Hands On Skills Test, is required for the new GVF Basic VSAT Installer Certification.

GVF 520 SatCom Fundamentals teaches the theory of satellite communications that all VSAT technicians should know in order to be effective. GVF has updated and enhanced the theory content from Levels 1 and 2 to create a course that serves both as a step towards VSAT installer certification and as a solid technical introduction to satellite communications.

GVF 521 Practical Technique for VSAT Installers covers the practical issues faced by field technicians.  It includes new material, such as a fully operational spectrum analyzer simulator.

These three new courses will replace the existing Level 1 and 2 online courses, as well as the classroom theory previously taught in Level 3S.  They are now available for immediate enrollment at the GVF training portal.  Students who complete of all three courses and the Hands On Skills Test receive the GVF Advanced VSAT Installer Certification, which is equivalent to the previous Level 3S.
