Integral Systems (SAT Corp.)... A Proper Grounding (Monitoring)

[SatNews] Integral Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq:ISYS) wholly-owned subsidiary, SAT Corporation, has been selected by Hispasat, S.A. to upgrade its existing Monics Carrier Monitoring System at their ground stations in Spain and Argentina.

Hispasat 1E
The upgrade will extend Monics carrier monitoring and interference detection to Hispasat's 1E satellite, which is scheduled to be launched later this year or early next year. Using SAT Corporation's Digital Signal Processing (DSP) technology, Monics is a state of the art radio frequency monitoring system that will provide automatic monitoring of Hispasat 1E carriers. The Monics system delivers carrier monitoring and interference detection in a fraction of the time of a classic spectrum analyzer. In addition, Monics' unique algorithms automatically detect, characterize, and display interfering signals, allowing results to be viewed at any time. Monics automatically monitors all uplink and downlink carriers as well as the beacon in each satellite. This automatic process provides immediate alerts when a carrier problem arises. Monics' open architecture easily interfaces with planning tools and geolocation products, such as Integral Systems' satID geolocation system. The geolocation service is intended to deter malicious or accidental disruption of satellite communications services while allowing customers to identify and locate the source of interference.
