THAICOM Public Company Limited (SET BKK: THCOM), the operator of the IPSTAR satellite broadband system, has announced Nation Broadcasting Corporation Public Company Limited (“NBC”)'s NATION CHANNEL has selected the THAICOM 5 satellite to broadcast its channel on a FTA basis on the Ku-band beam. The Contract period is 10 years. One Nation channel is currently broadcasting on the DTV satellite dish on Channel 35 and NBC is also planning to broadcast another channel in 2010.
