Spacenet Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (Nasdaq: GILT), provides broadband network solutions for business, industrial, and government users. TanMar is using Spacenet’s Connexstar S2 satellite services, based on the SkyEdge II VSAT platform, to support data, voice and video applications for on-shore and off-shore oil rigs and marine vessels. The Connexstar S2 services offer a high performance and cost-effective way to deliver broadband IP networks with high-speed requirements. TanMar’s communications network supports video for land based drilling and shipboard monitoring including closed circuit TV monitoring, data and voice lines for email, Internet access and business applications.
