SIA Offers Stirling Input To FCC Re SATCOM Benies


> SIA logo The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) has filed comments with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in preparation of the next annual report to Congress of satellite competition, highlighting the significant innovation and investment in the U.S. satellite market. In this document, SIA reflects upon the benefits of the satellite industry in providing choice of service, technological innovation and change and significant improvement in service quality. In its filing, SIA demonstrates that satellite operators and technologies are a critical component of the wireless ecosystem. In addition, SIA and its members encourage the Commission to continue their efforts in ensuring the inclusion of satellite as an integral part of the Innovation NOI due to the innovative technological characteristics of satellites, their unique geographic scope and contribution to public interest and national security.
