An independent audit of USEI's IA posture, as conducted by CapRock Government Solutions, shows USEI's compliance with the highest mission assurance category and confidentiality level required by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) criteria for assessing the security posture of commercial satellite offerings to DoD and other federal agency customers under the Future COMSATCOM Services Acquisition contract vehicle. IA is the practice of managing risks related to the use, processing, storage, and transmission of information and the systems and processes used for those purposes. The emphasis on IA in military and civilian federal procurements is in keeping with national security policies requiring security measures to protect government networks and data.
