ISPCS 2013... The Commercialization Of Space (Event)

[SatNews] In the early 20th Century, research on electromagnetism eventually brought us the consumer electronics, wireless and satellite communications industries. Now, we are reaching another critical time in history. Commercial spaceflight is evolving in parallel with commercialization of the International Space Station (ISS). The ISPCS audience will hear from the leaders of our industry why understanding gravity, and its absence, is an evolving step yet to be taken in the commercialization of space. We will learn where synergy exists and where risk and reward coexist.

At ISPCS 2013, Duane Ratliff, Chief Operating Officer for the Center for Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS) will address a big question about conducting research in microgravity: "Is there a there, there?" He will discuss management of the ISS U.S. National Lab and examine the risks and rewards of conducting scientific research on this unparalleled platform for innovation. During the first day of ISPCS 2013, Bill Gerstenmaier, Gwynne Shotwell, and Jon Gertner will be joined by Duane to create a coalescence of thought leadership on the topics of ISS, Commercial Crew and industrial research laboratories.

This is just one of the compelling, relevant and timely sessions on our agenda this year. Join us at ISPCS 2013 to learn more about addressing strategies to manage the risks and reap the rewards of the rapidly evolving commercial space industry. Register now to secure your spot.
