MCL/MITEQ Intros

MITEQ/MCL have introduced three new products of interest for the SATCOM environs. They are the MT2500 Outdoor TWT Amplifier, a medium power X-band Rack-Mount Solid State Power Amplifier and Transmitter, and a medium power X-band Antenna Mount Solid State Power Amplifier and Transmitter.

MCL MT2500 TWTA MCL’s MT2500 Outdoor TWT Amplifier is now available as a low-power, cost-effective, rugged and reliable solution that will meet any X-band satellite uplinking requirement. Weighing less than 33 lbs., the MT2500 TWTA is available for X-band applications (7.9-8.4 GHz) at 200 Watts (tube output power). The MT2500 is designed to meet MIL-188-164A, and features extensive diagnostic capabilities, along with a continuously variable attenuator adjustment and Remote Control and Status Interface. This compact TWTA can also be customized to include such options as an Input L-band block upconverter, external block downconverter, linearizer, ethernet interface, or +60° C operating temperature. Redundant configurations are also available.

MITEQ SSPA MITEQ has introduced a new medium power X-band Antenna-Mount Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA) and Transmitter product line. The PA-H Model series was designed for outdoor SSPA applications required for satellite uplink applications. These ruggedized antenna-mount SSPA systems were built and tested to meet the rigorous requirements of extreme outdoor environmental conditions. The systems incorporate amplifier modules engineered using state-of-the-art GaAs FET technology, a high efficiency power supply and a microprocessor-based monitor and control system.

MITEQ SSPA Rack Mount systems Also debuting from MITEQ is the Company's new medium power X-band Rack-Mount Solid State Power Amplifier (SSPA) and Transmitter systems. The new PA-R Model series is an SSPA rack-mounted system designed using a modular approach to provide flexible solutions to meet a variety of applications. This approach allows for simple redundant configurations, as well as higher-power phase combined configurations. These SSPA systems provide for over-temperature, over-current and high output VSWR safety protection. Status and control is achieved via the remote RS422/485 bus or Ethernet interface port. An event log is continuously updated with time-stamped records of significant events. MITEQ offers solid-state power amplifiers in C- and Ku-bands, as well as antenna mounted outdoor configurations.
