Thuraya in Singapore Sings About Smallest and Smartest


thurayaIP Thuraya Telecommunications Company is ramping up for the upcoming CommunicAsia conference and exhibition that will be held in Singapore. The Company will be showcasing the world’s “smallest” and “smartest” satellite handhelds, as well as its competitive broadband solution, ThurayaIP and Rural Telephony solutions. In addition, Thuraya will be displaying its maritime solution, ThurayaMarine and providing live demonstrations of ThurayaNetted Comms and the media-specific Quicklink solutions. CommunicAsia is Asia’s global platform set to address current and emerging issues in the ICT and digital convergence landscape.

The Asia Pacific market is greatly serviced by Thuraya since the launch of its third satellite last year and the Company has signed several distribution agreements in key markets such as Australia, Malaysia, Japan and Hong Kong ensuring the presence of Thuraya’s leading products and services in the region.

As well as marketing its portfolio of products, Thuraya’s Executive Manager Business Development Mr. Abdallah Touhami will be presenting at the Maritime Communications and Services panel on the opening day of the event that is taking place from the 16th to the 19th June.

In addition to being the world’s leading mobile satellite operator for handheld telephones, Thuraya has the smallest A5 sized broadband solution upon which several advanced solutions are based. One of them is ThurayaNetted Comms solution which is a unique solution that allows disparate communication tools to access one another cohesively in a closed user group. The other is a Quicklink solution that meets the needs of the media sector and it facilitates the transmission and delivery of extremely low latency, real-time broadcast video. Moreover, Thuraya has a specialized marine terminal that provides voice data, fax and GmPRS capabilities.
