PCI Geomatics has been awarded CDA$496,000 in repayable funding through the Business and Regional Growth program by the Honourable Denis Lebel, the Canadian Minister of State for Economic Development. The funding is to be used for the implementation of an international commercialization strategy.

PCI Geomatics technology enables users to apply satellite imagery to a wide range of applications including public security, agriculture, and disaster management. With a 28 year history of providing geo-imaging software and solutions to more than 135 countries, PCI Geomatics’ clients include government departments and agencies, municipalities, research centres, universities and private enterprises. PCI Geomatics plans to use the funds to invest additional energy in broadening its client base and increasing its Outaouais based staff by 2012. The funding has been awarded through Canada Economic Development’s Business and Regional Growth program.
