Maritime Broadband Focus Of Upcoming Exhibition

Broadband@Sea page In the lounge of the Holland Pavilion on the Europort exhibition in Rotterdam, a new phase of the innovative project Broadband@Sea will be presented. During the exhibition that runs from November 3 to 6, 2009, this project will be represented by Outsource-IT Management and HME on behalf of the project’s Consortium.

The new phase of Broadband@Sea will focus on a wider range of subjects related to maritime broadband, stimulate broadband usage on seagoing vessels, and push for more transparency in the broadband market. The first phase will concentrate on the broadband link itself and associated costs. The new phase will look at Return on Investment of the broadband investments, expand on new maritime broadband technologies and the adaption of ICT solutions within the maritime environment. The aim is to provide the participants with detailed, independent information. The Consortium of Broadband@Sea invites maritime associations, international shipping lines and maritime suppliers to participate in the project to establish an international knowledge forum on maritime broadband usage.
