Northrop Grumman Corporation [NYSE:NOC] has named Scott A. Lee vice president of space systems for the company's Electronic Systems sector. In his new position, Lee will have executive responsibility for all space systems programs at the company's Baltimore campus. This includes development and production of a variety of space-based sensors for U.S. government customers. He will report to Joseph J. Ensor, vice president and general manager of the Space & ISR Systems Division.

Lee joined the company in 1994 as a systems engineer and has since held a number of positions in engineering and program management. In 1999, he was appointed program manager of a classified program. In 2002, he was named program manager for space radar. Most recently, he has served as director of Radar and Special Sensor Programs in the Space & ISR Systems Division.

Lee earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Drexel University and a master of science degree in electrical engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He completed the Harvard Business School General Management Program. He worked for Martin Marietta for 10 years before joining Northrop Grumman.
