[SatNews]Responding to rapidly increasing demand for mobile and network communications by governments and enterprises across Asia, ASC Signal will feature...

...a range of products at the 23rd International Communications and Information Technology Conference opening in Singapore June 19. ASC’s offerings include a rapidly deployable antenna that operates in nine frequencies; newly released redundancy technology that provides simplified, seamless switching of virtually any active radio frequency component in a satellite earth station system; and large aperture antennas suited for network build-out by government and commercial entities.

ASC’s new 2.4m Nomadic antenna system for defense and commercial users in the Asia Pacific region incorporates the most advanced mobile features in the lightest and most agile package the company has ever offered. A key feature of this low-cost antenna is its ability to provide communications in a variety of bandwidths: L-, S-, X-, C-, Ku-, K-, Ka-, Q- and V-bands, as well as low passive intermodulation (Low PIM). The system’s flexibility also ensures low, on-going costs of operation and upgrades, as well as expandability for a variety of applications. The new lightweight, carbon-fiber 2.4m antenna is designed for ease of transport and rapid deployment, particularly in regions such as Asia where geographic and climatic conditions can be very challenging. This design feature also allows customers to flexibly tailor their antenna systems to the region’s different environments by using one-, three- or nine-piece reflector panels.

The ASC 2.4m antenna capitalizes on the proven features of ASC’s larger antennas used in defense and commercial applications around the world, providing the most rapid deployment and accurate tracking of any antenna in its class. The antenna can include motorization packages to integrate seamlessly with ASC’s Next Generation Controller. This antenna, incorporating the company’s full range of technologies, is capable of meeting MIL-SPEC standards and is DISA and ARSTRAT certifiable.

Also at CommunicAsia, ASC will be showcasing its newly-released redundancy technology and related product options that provide simplified, seamless switching of virtually any active radio frequency component within a satellite earth station system RF chain. An added feature of these new capabilities is that they support virtually any fixed or transportable Earth station antenna system, regardless of manufacturer, when used in conjunction with ASC’s antenna controller products. This new technology incorporates complex redundancy switching with 1:1 and 1:2 capabilities within the active RF chain in a simplified, integrated and easy-to-deploy architecture that provides expanded access, control and monitoring of RF equipment operation and enhanced remote accessibility.

In addition to these newly released products, ASC will be featuring a range of its antenna products capable of supporting UHF-, L-, S-, C-, X- Ku-, K-, Ka-, and Q/V-band, and receive-transmit and dual-band applications with antenna sizes ranging from 2.4 to 9.4m. This range also includes fixed and transportable antennas, antenna feeds and controllers and integrated services, and full system installation and testing in support of applications worldwide. ASC Signal will be present at stand 1T1-07, at CommunicAsia2012.
