Thales Alenia Space has briefly announced that the Palapa-D communications satellite has successfully passed the In Orbit Acceptance Review. Palapa-D is now positioned at its final location (113 degrees East) and is fully ready for operation. The satellite’s service life is now expected to be more than 10.5 years.
