The Australasia Satellite Forum will take place in Sydney again this year, bringing together satellite leaders from across the Australasia region. The one-day satellite forum will encourage discussion and debate around the latest technologies, issues and demand in the region.

NewSat’s CEO, Adrian Ballintine, will join other satellite operators Monday, April 8, at 9.30am about Shaping Australasia’s satellite footprint: Satellite Operator Roundtable and NewSat’s CTO, David Ball, will moderate the 12.20pm Satellite Manufacturers panel: NGN Satellite Fleets.
NewSat is set to launch Australia’s first commercial Ka-band satellite, providing high-powered Ka-band capacity over the Middle East, Asia and Africa. Jabiru-1 will provide “new” capacity to these regions through a range of regional, multi-spot and steerable beams.
NewSat’s Jabiru-2 satellite, will provide highly targeted Ku-band coverage over Australia, Timor Leste and PNG. NewSat’s two Australian teleports link to 12 satellites and provide coverage to 75 percent of the world.
